We are proud to be a family owned and operated Christmas tree farm. Our father and mother, Barry and Jerri Barclay, started the farm over 50 years ago when they planted over 10,000 trees in 1968. That first batch of Christmas trees were sold in 1976. The Barclays have had a long and rich history in Central New Jersey, specifically in and around the town of Cranbury and Middlesex County. The original Orchardside Farm began over 100 years ago and was primarily an apple orchard. Through the generations as our apple orchards grew, we incorporated other crops, such as peaches, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and pumpkins. In recent years, as the demand for locally grown apples and peaches has declined, we proudly entered into New Jersey's Farmland Preservation Act. But one thing remains the same: during the holiday season, many people still want a fresh, choose and cut Christmas tree. Our father taught us that customer service is the cornerstone on which Barclay's Christmas Tree Farm began. We are proud to carry on his legacy, offering our customers help in any way we can. Each year we meet new customers who have discovered the Christmas tree farm for the first time. But for each new customer we meet, we have twice as many repeat customers, who have been coming here for years as a Christmas tradition. So whether this is your first trip, or your 30th, we'll greet you with a smile and make you feel at home. That's what our dad taught us, and that's what we're proud to be known for.
